Acceptance of Terms

By signing the digital intake form and submitting a drop-off at Thrifty Beaches, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions in their entirety. Your digital signature — whether drawn or typed — constitutes a legally binding agreement under the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), and carries the same legal weight as a handwritten signature.

Ownership Representation

By submitting a drop-off, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the lawful owner of all items submitted, or you have been authorized by the owner to sell them on their behalf.
• No items submitted are stolen, counterfeit, or subject to any liens, claims, or encumbrances.
• You are at least 18 years of age.

Thrifty Beaches reserves the right to report suspected stolen or counterfeit items to the appropriate authorities and to refuse to return such items.

Pricing and Offers

• Thrifty Beaches purchases items at approximately 30% of the current retail market value. This rate is applied at Thrifty Beaches' sole discretion.
• Final pricing is determined based on the condition, brand, demand, and current market value of each item as assessed by Thrifty Beaches staff.
• Offers are valid for 5 days from the date the offer notification is sent. If you do not respond within this window, the offer will expire and items will be handled according to your stated unsold item preference.

Unclaimed Items

If you select “I'll pick them up” as your preference for unsold or declined items:

• You have 5 days from the date of your offer notification to collect any items Thrifty Beaches did not purchase.
• Items not picked up within this 5-day window become the property of Thrifty Beaches and may be donated, sold, or disposed of at our discretion.

If you select “Donate them for me” as your preference and you decline the offer, all items in your drop-off — including those we offered to buy — will be donated by Thrifty Beaches.

Limitation of Liability

All items are left with Thrifty Beaches at the seller's own risk. While we take reasonable care to store and handle your items, Thrifty Beaches is not responsible or liable for any loss, theft, damage, or deterioration of items after they have been dropped off, regardless of cause.

In no event shall Thrifty Beaches' total liability to you exceed the offer amount for the applicable drop-off.

Photos and Content

Any photos you upload as part of your drop-off submission become the property of Thrifty Beaches and may be used for internal operations, including item evaluation and record-keeping.

Payment

Payment is issued via your selected payment method after you accept our offer. Cash and store credit are available for pickup in store. If you select Zelle or Venmo, you will need to provide your payment details to Thrifty Beaches staff before payment can be sent.

All sales are final. Once you accept an offer and payment is issued, the transaction cannot be reversed, and items cannot be returned.

SMS Communications

By providing your phone number and opting in to text message notifications, you consent to receive SMS messages from Thrifty Beaches regarding your drop-off status, including when your items have been evaluated and an offer is ready for review. Message frequency varies based on your drop-off activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out.

Your mobile information will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Right to Refuse

Thrifty Beaches reserves the right to decline any or all items in a drop-off for any reason, including but not limited to items that do not meet our quality, condition, or style standards. Declined items will be handled according to your stated unsold item preference.

Changes to These Terms

Thrifty Beaches may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of our drop-off service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of San Luis Obispo County, California.
